I was born in Newport on Tay, Fife, in 1947. I have drawn and painted for the last 40 years and I have been doing etching and silk screen printing at Dundee Contemporary Arts Studio of which I have been a member for the last 8 years. I am now starting to do sculpture in my studio. I have a BA degree in Fine Art from the Open University, and I spent 2 years study at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art. I have done private tuition, evening classes and workshops. I am now a full time artist and I work part-time for WEA, also do portrait commissions, sell at fairs and also do demonstrations and lectures.

I have exhibited at over 30 venues in the UK. My pictures are in many galleries in Scotland, also on several on-line galleries including www.saatchi-gallery.co.uk and www.scotmart.com, in both of which my work is featured. I am now having Giclee prints in signed limited editions and cards made of my landscapes by Imageart of Dorset.  Please contact me for catalouge and prices. In my work I try to achieve colour harmony, order and beauty using traditional subject matter and methods. I use the creative process in personal conflict resolution. Spirituality and philosophy drives the development of my work and expression and I study and write prose and poetry.

I am always looking for new exhibition opportunities in the UK and beyond and I am available for commissions.
